Special events
Our Special Events are events we put on throughout the year that are outside of the Regular weekly events. These events are largely evangelistic with the aim of making an comfortable environment for people to invite their friends and hear the gospel!
LUNCH BAR
The Lunch Bar is a brand new event we are bringing to the CU! This involves providing a free lunch for anyone on campus, then during the event there is a short talk on faith. This event allows us to love others through giving food and sharing the gospel with them! This event will be taking place around 2 times per term, so look forward to it!
STORYCLUB
Storyclub is an offshoot of the CU run by some of our wonderful creative students! This group is a gathering of creative students within the CU who meet weekly (you do NOT need to be studying a creative subject to take part!). We may read through a book relating to Christianity, culture and creativity, walk around campus looking for creative inspiration or simply get to know other likeminded people in a friendly environment. Anyone is welcome to bring friends along! Storyclub also holds larger events with the rest of the CU such as an open mic night to share creative works and work as an outreach into campus!
QUESTION FOR A DONUT
Question for a donut has been a staple evangelistic event within the CU recently. We offer a FREE donut for any students within Alexander Square who answer a question we have prepared on the topic of faith. This allows conversations on Christianity, faith and Jesus to take place around campus, or we simply bless people with a free donut! We would greatly appreciate prayer for this event as we continue to hold it across campus into the next year!
